El Saltillo
EL SALTILLO starts in Canillas de Aceituno and is also known as the smaller brother of the Caminito del Rey. However, do not underestimate this hiking trail; hikers are pleasantly surprised by suspension bridges, waterfalls, and beautiful views. This hike offers 2 options: an easy version that takes 3 to 4 hours or a more difficult one that takes 4 to 5 hours. El Saltillo is free, but don't forget to bring enough water and provisions. This trail is not recommended for small children or inexperienced hikers.
And for enthusiasts... Canillas de Aceituno is renowned for its specialty, goat meat prepared in wood-fired ovens.
